late 2060s: amid global warming and ever-increasing corporatism, The divine spark in every human soul is proven to exist.
2068: almost immediately, it's learned that this Imperial Spark can also make you really good at fighting. Development programs begin, heedless of possible consequences.
early 2070s: second Uighur genocide. Natalia's mother escapes across the border to Mongolia and eventually Russia. She eventually marries a Tatar in Zabaykalsky.
2072: Natalia is born.
2080: Natalia turns 8. Natalia removed from her parents for new Kamchatcka Zu Training Program-- a program designed to draw out the latent divine spark in every human soul.
2083: Three years of touring the country, defeating chess masters and martial arts champions ensues. Natalia's parents have a strained relationship.
Early 2084: A tragedy occurs. Natalia is informed after witnessing the truth of the matter that her parents have returned to Zabaykalsky. Natalia is assigned to the Koutolikas. Natalia's heart freezes. She becomes the best prospect the Kamchatka Zu Training Program has.
2085: the first Zu are sent to the front line against the Riders. Some repel the god-killers. Four out of five die.
2090: Natalia turns 17. Entire Kamchatka Zu Training Program-- such as remains-- is pulled through the Servants' Gate.

1/3: Kamchatka Zu Training Program manages to hide the Divine Spark, and are assigned a small floating island to farm. Fishing? That's not lucrative enough! Make wheat.
1/10: Count of Sorrows arrives on the island with his son, Hayden. Some members of the program are sent to attempt to mine for Ether Stones. This prospecting never bears fruit. The Count of Sorrows blames the village.
2/14: Hayden Sorrows meets Natalia.
4/12: first harvest. Natalia proves able, but not overly so.
4/13: Natalia and Hayden Sorrows share a dance. This is an unpleasant experience for Natalia.
8/10: Natalia selected for ?????????, when a person is demanded of KZTP.
9/10: Natalia deemed unsuitable for ?????????, is placed in solitary confinement and starved in hopes of making her more available for the project.
9/13-9/16: Natalia plays the Dangerous Game, and wins so thoroughly that the Count of Sorrows is dead along with his entire hunting party.
9/18: Natalia escapes her island while Hayden Sorrows looks on in anger.
9/18, late evening: Natalia arrives on the Mad Archer.
9/19: After a brief discussion with other captains, Natalia is inducted as part of the crew of the Mad Archer.
10: Battle of Flotsam. Natalia is a faceless survivor, as is the Mad Archer.
10/12: Natalia helps capture her first ship. For her skill in combat and her saving of several crew members, Natalia is awarded a full share of the voyage and all privileges of a full crewmember of the Mad Archer.
11: Kraken Hunts. Natalia proves quite facile.
11/16-11/20: Natalia joins the Feast. While she dances well, she is left feeling she is going through the motions.
12/1: Natalia and the crew of the Mad Archer board the Hand to Mouth, liberating the slaves being transported within. Natalia is placed on the prize crew for the Hand to Mouth. Natalia meets Malachiasz.
12/2: For being the strongest fighter and best tactician on deck, Natalia declared temporary captain of the Hand to Mouth.
12/2: Natalia learns about local Solstice traditions on the skeleton prize crew of the Hand to Mouth.
12/4: Natalia arrives on Elysium with the Hand to Mouth.
12/7: Natalia is not only given her full share from the Mad Archer, she is specifically given a full share and a half of the booty from the proceeds and sale of the Hand to Mouth as its captain.
Still 12/7: Natalia is assigned to Elysium. Natalia is given an ENC and gate privileges for her actions aiding the boarding actions of the Hand to Mouth and other slaver ships.
12/8: Natalia asks around the Flotsam Island for advice on Solstice gifts. Natalia meets Deedee. Natalia meets Ilphyl. Natalia meets Senshi. Natalia resolves to get Senshi and Ilphyl Solstice gifts.
12/9: Natalia delivers a message to Deedee, and realizes the 'potion code'.
12/12: Natalia visits the spa after hours to clean herself up. Meets Ziel. Natalia is sent to Bluvink for initial infiltration.
12/14: Natalia arrives on Bluvink to infiltrate the Servants and get the layout of the factory. She succeeds, but must be extracted.
12/16: Natalia continues to buy gifts from her share. Preparations for Fireworks begin in Earnest. Natalia meets Atom and volunteers to calculate precision explosives.

OU Backstory: Natalia Koutolika, the Prodigy, is one of the canon pre-generated characters for Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine. Initially drowned in the Outside, she comes to Town about six weeks before the campaign known as The Glass-Maker's Dragon begins. To quote the book, P. 148:

Powers and Abilities: Natalia is a true polymath and The Prodigy. When it comes to martial arts and soldiering and mathematics, she's about the best that a person can be, without outright resorting to magic. When she does resort to magic-- when she activates that wishing power of her heart, either through tough times or just powering through with raw Ether-- she can perform intense, action-hero style feats of strength and skill.

She is peak human in almost every sense of the word. Almost.

That time of horrors she went through, it froze her heart, figuratively, and, in the worst cases, literally.

That's not to say she doesn't feel-- part of her arc both in the original canon and here is that this freeze is something she hopes she can stop-- but expressing her emotions is difficult and painful, at best, and can lead to her physically starting to freeze at worst.

But, because of this, there's a silver lining-- it's just as hard for others to move her heart with magic.
